About NPAL

Contributions to this site are provided or selected by faculty and staff in the Natural Resources Management and Rangeland Ecology programs at North Dakota State University, and the NDSU Library.

The mission of the Natural Resources Management and Rangeland Ecology programs is to disseminate information concerning the management of northern Great Plains ecosystems.

Specific objectives are to:

  • Provide leadership in identifying sustainable land use practices
  • Promote adoption of effective, sustainable land management strategies
  • Provide educational opportunities and professional development of land stewards
  • Create an appreciation of the social and economic benefits of wise land stewardship
